VMware Digital Workspace - (1) Starting a Free Trail of VMware Workspace ONE

Ø  Begin on the Workspace ONE product page, and click TRY WORKSPACE ONE FOR FREE.

Ø  Then fill out the form. Note that the company name you enter will be used as the cloud services organization in VMware Cloud and Workspace ONE. Accept the VMware Terms of Service, and click START YOUR FREE TRIAL.

Ø  You will get a couple of Welcome emails almost immediately, though it could take up to 24 hours.

Note: If you don’t already have a VMware account, one of the emails will be about activating a VMware account.

Ø  This next email has the Get Started button, which is your service activation link. Clicking this button takes you to the VMware Cloud console, where you log in with your VMware account credentials, sometimes also referred to as your MyVMware account or Customer Connect account.

Ø  On the Organization Setup page, you see that the organization name matches the company name you entered earlier. Agree to the terms of service and click CREATE ORGANIZATION AND COMPLETE SIGN-UP.

Ø  Select all the use cases: mobile endpoint management, app catalog, analytics, desktop management, security, and productivity.

Note: Copy down the URL for Workspace ONE Access because you might need to enter it somewhere later.

Ø  Click Continue and go to the Home page of the Workspace ONE Cloud Admin Hub console, which lists the services included in your free trial. Another way to get to this page is to navigate to https://console.cloud.vmware.com.

Ø  Scroll down to the Workspace ONE Unified Endpoint Management tile and click MANAGE. You use the Workspace ONE UEM console for most of the administration and setup tasks in Workspace ONE. But, before you get there, you need to set a PIN and write it down somewhere. You will be prompted for this 4-digit PIN when configuring certain settings within Workspace ONE. Click Save. You might also be prompted to answer a security question for password recovery

Ø  At last, you get to the Getting Started page of Workspace ONE UEM.
